INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE AND ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN DEPARTMENT

The Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department aims to train artists who can create a comfortable, useful and pleasant environment in interior spaces. This involves cooperating with the architectural team during the initial planning of new buildings as well as making modifications for new uses in the interiors of old buildings. The consumer’s personal and social needs, novelty in technology and current artistic trends are considered in these activities.

In this context subjects of study in this department vary from artistic skills and abstract ideals to technology and human sciences. The curriculum includes studio work on drafting, rendering and making models, theoretical courses and seminars. The students use computers after they have mastered expressing their ideas by hand drawing, therefore computer aided design starts in the fourth term.

Employment advantages there are a wide range of establishments that employ interior designers. Some of these are architectural and interior design offices, construction firms, various government and private establishments and broadcasting studios. An interior designer can also start a private business. Well trained interior designers can be sure to be successful in whatever way they carry out their profession.
